If you have not yet watched the Housemaid by Freida McFadden, I urge you please do. It was not only my favourite film of 2025, but everything was truly brilliant; from the casting to the storyline changes.
If you don’t know, the Housemaid is a book by Freida McFadden about Milly a young girl who has a secret past and get’s employed by Nina Winchester as the family’s housemaid. What you next see is how family secrets come out from behind closed doors.
It was honestly perfection, my favourite characters were probably the Winchesters played by Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, they played their parts effortlessly!
I had only seen Sklenar in ‘It Ends With Us’ so I had only seen him play the love interest, but the psychopath he played in this was honestly chef’s kiss, I’m excited to see his other films, he has truly outdone himself.
